    1.  Warranty Period
      Micro 1 Technology warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a specific warranted period as stated below, from the date of original invoice from Micro 1 Technology.

      • Computer Systems: Our standard warranty covers two years on labor. For parts, we cover one year or the manufacturer warranty, whichever is greater.

      • Components:  Same as the original manufacturer’s warranty policy.

      • Monitors, Keyboards, Mice, and Other Accessories: Same as the original manufacturer’s warranty policy.

    2.  Repair Service
      Customer can return an item for repair service if the item is defective within the warranty period.

    3.  Return for Credit
      Micro 1 Technology will accept a return to replace a defective computer or parts with a new one, or credit the customer for the refund, if the warranty request is submitted within 20 days from the invoice date, and the item is received by us within 30 days from the invoice date.  However, the freight is not refundable.  For any non-defective item, Micro 1 Technology will not accept any return.
      Please contact a sales person for exchange or credit if the defective items are purchased within 20 days from the invoice date.  For credit return, all items must be in resalable condition.

    4.  Request a Warranty Service
      4.1 Procedure
      • Please fill up an RMA form. The RMA form can be downloaded by clicking the downloaded link here, ___________.
      • Please e-mail a completed RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) request form to rma@micro-1.comor fax to (626)333-1406.
      • Our RMA department will e-mail or fax back the RMA form with an RMA number to you.
      • Please send the item back to Micro 1 Technology with prepaid freight to the address below:

      *Note: Please make sure the RMA number is specified in the address above.

      4.2 RMA Number
      To receive a warranty service, the customer needs to request an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. An RMA number is only valid for 10 calendar days.  A new RMA number will need to be requested after 10 days.  Any return without an RMA number will be subject to the reject of the shipment, and will be sent back at the cost of sender.

      4.3 Freight
      Customers need to pay the freight to ship the parts or the computer to Micro 1 Technology, and Micro 1 Technology will send back the parts or the computer via Ground shipping and will pay for the freight. If the RMA service is requested within 30 days from the invoice date, Micro 1 Technology will e-mail a shipping label to the customer and be responsible for the Ground shipping cost of sending the RMA item back to Micro 1 Technology. 

      Micro 1 Technology will ship the repaired or replacement products to the customer as freight prepaid, if the customer uses an address in the Continental U.S. (excludes Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and U.S. possessions).  Shipments to other locations will be made freight collect.

      For out of warranty items, customers need to pay the cost of labor, parts, and freight for both inward and outward transportation.

      4.4 Packaging
      All RMA items should be properly packaged with ESD material or anti-static bags.  Micro 1 Technology will not be responsible for any damage or loss of the RMA items during transportation due to the inappropriate packaging by the customer, and Micro 1 Technology reserves the right to return un-repaired items at the customer’s cost if it is inappropriately packaged by the customer.

    5.  Terms and Conditions
      Micro 1 Technology does not make any warranties either expressed or implied, including no implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, except as expressly provided herein.
      If any labor, repair, or parts replacement is required because of accident, negligence, misuse, theft, vandalism, fire, water, or other peril, because of conditions outside of specification, including but not limited to electrical power, temperature, humidity, or other than normal use, the warranty provided herein shall not apply.  Any service repair outside the scope of this limited warranty shall be at Micro 1 Technology or its Authorized Service Provider’s rate and terms in effect.

      This warranty does not cover damage due to servicing not authorized by Micro 1 Technology, usage not in accordance with product instructions, failure to perform required preventive maintenance, or problems caused by use of components not supplied by Micro 1 Technology.
      This warranty does not cover any items that are in one or more of the following categories: software; external devices; accessories or parts added to a Micro 1 Technology system after the system is shipped from Micro 1 Technology.

      Neither Micro 1 Technology nor its third party service provider shall be liable for any incidental, special, or consequential damages or for loss or expense directly or indirectly arising from the customer’s use of or inability to use the equipment either separately or in combination with other equipment or for personal injury, loss, or destruction of other property, or from any other cause.  Neither Micro 1 Technology nor its third party providers shall be liable for the destruction or loss of data or media resulting from services performed. It is the customer’s responsibility to back up the data on the hard-disk drive(s) and any other storage device(s) in the product(s), before the product(s) is shipped to Micro 1 Technology. Remove any removable media, such as diskettes, CDs, or USB drives.  

      Micro 1 Technology will use brand new parts for the replacement if the service request is within 30 days from the invoice date.  After the 30-day period, if the parts cannot be repaired, Micro 1 Technology has the right to use either new or refurbished parts for the replacement parts depending on the availability with our own discretion.  The replacement parts may be the same, equivalent, or better.
       
      Micro 1 Technology owns all parts removed from repaired products.  If Micro 1 Technology repairs or replaces a product, its warranty term is not extended.
      Micro 1 Technology reserves the right to refuse warranty on computer systems that have been “modified,” “enhanced,” “upgraded,” or otherwise “altered” by anyone not authorized by Micro 1 Technology.

    1.  Limitation of Liability
      Customers may specify and provide Micro 1 Technology instructions to build a custom PC or a PC configuration for their specific applications. Micro 1 Technology may also give recommendations to build a custom PC or a PC configuration for specific applications of customers. It is customer’s responsibility to test the compatibility of the hardware and their application software.  The acceptance and approval of the customer for a Micro 1 Technology custom PC or a PC configuration should limit the liability of Micro 1 Technology to only any hardware failure under the terms and conditions of this Warranty Policy, and Micro 1 Technology is not responsible for any customer’s application software related problems or compatibility problems between the hardware and the customer’s application software.

      THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS, WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE (OR JURISDICTION TO JURISDICTION). MICRO 1 TECHNOLOGY’S RESPONSIBILITY FOR MALFUNCTIONS AND DEFECTS IN HARDWARE IS LIMITED TO REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT AS SET FORTH IN THIS WARRANTY STATEMENT.  ALL EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES FOR THE PRODUCT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF AND CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE WARRANTY PERIOD SET FORTH ABOVE AND NO WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WILL APPLY AFTER SUCH PERIOD.  SOME STATES (OR JURISDICTIONS) DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
